I guess it was a long time ago since I had this much fun.
Went back to VJ on Wednesday after my guard rest to help out the setting up of the venues for the A Level Art coursework displays. Reached school feeling quite stoned due to guard duty the previous day...yawnzz. Bought dinner down from Pkway Parade.
Kwok came down a little later in the evening, dragging his huge bag of vcds/anime/crap. Initially started out just hanging around and waiting, then Mr Tang came out and dished out some jobs for us, and so we took to the task of constructing a frame for Pam's piece, and painting Fangyang's structure, and hanging up black cloth in the container blocks...and many more etc etc stuff.
Feels good to be back in school again, working on art, enjoying art. Somehow I enjoy the feeling of a group of people working towards a common target/common assignment, and supporting each other as they go along.
Worked overnight, since the next day was on half day off. Ordered Macs around 3am, and everyone just started sitting outside the classroom and talking while we ate. Felt very...wonderful and special to be sitting in school at 3 plus am in the morning, while the place is so silent, the roads are vehicle-less. It's all very surreal, like could just sit there for hours enjoying. People started getting tired and a little hysterical, but it was good to see the works taking shape.
Felt (what I term as) beyond tired the next morning, since I practically slept 2 hours tru the whole night. The feeling of a packed school rushing into class and running past you when you just woke up and on the way to the toilet to wash up, is weird. Espcially when you're in civies and everyone else is in uniform.
Kudos for the yr2 art students for letting us into this crucial project, and for providing such an enriching experience. Can't quite put in words how I feel. But anyway all the best! We should have some kinda big celebration after this..庆功宴.
Entry sounding really messy now, still haven't got back my clear thinking yet. Dying from exhaustion. Think I should go sleep...
