Backdated post.
Celebrated Fengrun's bday last Sunday. Supposed to be some huge outing at Marina South with all his friends and all. Ended up a mini 5 person gathering at Bugis with Junyi, Kianhai, Jingtian(his sec sch friend), Fengrun and me. Huiyan popped by for a cameo appearance, to wish the bday boy, then left. Think Fengrun was pretty surprised coz i told him no gals were coming..wahaha. Oops.
Ate steamboat, with half the pot normal stock and the other spicy stock. Seems we ordered the lowest-level spicy stock yet everyone couldn't take it, except for Fengrun of course. The crazy bugger just ate and ate and drank and drank, sweating alot but his face didnt even change colour. Amazing tolerance I would say.
Got the bday cake from Four Leaves (Bugis basement) and went to Shaw Tower foodcourt to cut it after dinner. Some really hippie auntie did us a big favour by loaning a lighter (it was actually the kind used to light stoves). Thus the candles could be lit and the bday song sung. Fengrun blew too hard on the candles coz they all slanted to one side.
Fengrun was too hum and we had to force him to give the auntie a slice of cake haha. Anyway the auntie came back and gave him some PC game for a bday present, and gave us all Mushroom Pot vouchers...cool! Interesting ppl you meet outside.
Day ended with a chill out session at Starbucks at Bugis, then each made our own way home. Hope you had a happy bday Fengrun!
