Hi people! Hope everyone had a nice time last night counting down or celebrating Xmas. Was supposed to have a pri sch class gathering, but cancelled it due to really horrible response, not that it wasn't expected, it's Xmas eve!
Anyway, managed to meet up with my 2 ol' buddies Davin and Junrong. Went to Toa Payoh which was extremely...empty? Haha, watched Ocean's Twelve which I felt wasn't that great a hoohaa, should have shocased more stunts and how they did the thefts. Rushed tru dinner at Pizza Hut before that, resulting in us missing the first 10 minutes of the show..sighz. After the show I decided to look for presents for some people I still owe favours to. So we all trooped down to Orchard with crossed fingers hoping that we don't get stuck in the usual human traffic jams along the way.
Orchard MRT station was crazy, the station staff directing people here and there and security everywhere. So many exits closed and we came out on quite the other side of Orchard, rather ulu place, although my sense of direction in Orchard at night is pretty bad. Got stuck in a jam outside Taka for like 10 minutes? Manged to squeeze our way outa the mass and navigated the back alleys to Heeren, where I thought I might be able to purchase something suitable. Well, thanks to Davin's brilliant recollection of a certain shop which does not exist there now, we sorta made a wasted trip. But I did catch a glimpse of some interesting gift ideas and browsed tru Action City and HMV for possible presents. (The Jap collection at HMV is really amazing!!!)
Took a bus back since it was the easiest direct route home. Packed like sardines again, lucky for me it wasn't the post-countdown period of time. Got sprayed by snow like crazy on the way to the bus stop. Crazy revellers going mad and aiming at any chio bus they can find..haha.. Madness. Worry for my friends who are also out partying somewhere in Orchard. People please arm yourselve with super soakers filled with foam or something to spray back...hahaha. Reached home around half an hr before midnite, feeling literally soaked into the Xmas atmosphere.
Woke up late(9.30am) this morning, have cousin Lincoln's wedding lunch reception to attend to later. Prob will try to get some ppl out? Maybe...see how, still have to go personally deliver a few presents. Hehe. Happy Celebrating people!
