Ok, back to normalcy.
Been working on a project with my ex-VS AEP teacher. Gg around schools to film stuff, interviewing teachers and their students. Listening to some of the really great teachers share their experiences..makes me feel really inspired. Their willingness to share, their passion for education, their care for the students, and how they make it all come together to provide a wholesome learning experience. Teaching is such an amazing profession.
Joined teacher for a group discussion with selected students from different schools. Got a chance to 'co-host' the session, and realized I still enjoy interacting with kids/juniors like before. It's fun how our youth (yar yar i'm oso included) have so many ideas, which we want/hope to be done. It is the extra spark that pushes us to go accomplish these ideas when we 'grow up'. But y not start now? Haha.
Went back to VS this morn for breakfast. Said hello and talked to a few of my teachers. Really miss them. It's been a while really. They have aged, so have I(matured). I guess I should visit them more often. Starting to feel that sense of satisfaction and happiness when an ex-student returns for a visit and shares his/her experiences, and taking heart to know you have made an impact on his/her life.
Encouragements and well-wishes from most teachers that I've met these past week, and I'm really determined to work hard at being a teacher, if at least for the short-term. I'm glad I got this experience to work on this project.
A big salute and thank you to all teachers out there. U have all made my day.
