To Pa With Love

Attended the musical at Victoria Theatre just now. Qiaomei's the producer. Didn't exactly know what to expect as this is the first time I'm attending, missed last year one due to camp =P

Went alone(oy where did u ppl go off too..). Had a quick dinner as I walked from Funan to VT, tapao-ed from KFC. Got my tickets from the reception counter, amidst the rows of envelopes on the tables haha. Guess the bulk of the ticket sales were internal...

VT hasn't changed much since the last time I was there for Dramafest back in VS days. Red curtains, wooden seats with cushiony backs. V familiar feeling.

Coincidentally, Qiaomei's family/relatives took up the whole row in front of me. She came out before the show started..haha. I must have looked quite pathetic being the only friend attending tonight, only one in the row. Bleaghzzz hehe.

The performance was great. I wouldn't say a totally unique storyline..but the way in which it was presented was really good. Beautiful is what I would use to describe it. The singing wasn't top class, but the effort put in deserved 100% to be lauded. Heh, Zhili's singing was not bad...wonder how come she didn't perform back then in VJ haha.

Halftime(interval) was really funny as they announcer said something like "...Ladies and Gentlemen, we are now having our interval. Please be back in 15mins. All polytechnic students and undergraduates are cordially invited to the main hall for refreshments, courtesy of Social Development Unit..." Muahahahaha...really LMAO. Fantastic advertising for the sponsors, everyone was laughing so hard. Can't believe how desperate SDU was....sighz.

Overheard the below conversation as I was stoning during interval.
Boy A(by the surname Lee) : I would name my child Sirius.
Boy B : Why?
Boy A : So he would be Sirius Lee (seriously)
Both : Wahahahahha

Boy B : Oh, and so if you got twins the other would be named Joaquin?
Boy A : Huh,, why?
Boy B : So he would be Joaquin Lee (jokingly)

- faints -

Now who says Singaporeans have no sense of humour?

Enjoyed the musical thoroughly. Kudos to a great job Qiaomei!

Missing some people..pretty alone online haha.
