Mixed feelings. |
|
This weekend's been very interesting, with a multitude of events that caused a plethora of feelings on my part.
It all started off with a bang. Went for the highly-anticipated Victorian's Day feeling damn excited at what was in store in school. Ended up stoning with Winston and just walking around trying to find a hint of familiarity. Everything changed, didnt exactly see enough people from my batch to cause a stir of recognition. The supposed fun-fair kinda layout was virtually non-existent. Probably it was coz we arrived there at 2.30pm, and the whole line-up started at 12.30pm. Landed up in the Performance Theatre watching the choir and band give their short performance. Said hi to Mr Tang then walked outa sch. sheesh. Met Huifang at the bus stop, was with her junior. Maybe that was the only er...event which did not get a sian response from me during the whole visit.
Next I needed a haircut so went to Parkway for the trusty Sri Nada treatment, while Winston went off to get his 65bucks shades. Hey loox cool man...haha..gd taste! Proceeded to Suntec via 196 to meet the rest of the guys who were supposed to come for our little gathering at night. Walked around Suntec looking for a pouch I could use for duties. Finally got one similar to Chris' at the Wallet Shop.
Walked around somemore then landed up at Marina Square, which was virtually a ghost town. All the shops had moved and the whole place was bare(gasp) except for a little portion which had this sign saying Marina Food Loft. There was this damn chio restaurant with freaking gd architecture(not to mention romantic setting) below the foodcourt. Think it's called Centre Stage(erhem..guys another new place to bring her to?). Went up to explore the food court and realised it offered this really great view of Esplanade and a bit of the Singapore waterfront. So called the guys and told them change of venue and all come down to find us.
Dinner was with Tienfa and Winston(Guan Nan and Yim came later) at the Food Loft. Went to the arcade at GV Marina, had to walk a really weird detour to reach there. Wanted to bowl/pool but too many ppl on the waiting list. Gave up and ended up in Suntec Olio Dome Cafe for drinks. Party broke up around 10pm.
Today was more interesting. Met up with Winston and Jiechao at Sim Lim to get their coms. After a whole lot of looking tru specs, checking DAT's variable stocks, and the usual discounts, settled with a above average set for JC and a minmalist set for Winston's cousin. Met Yim and DC halfway tru, they were shopping for sound system accesories and parts. Liang Ping came to join us soon after. So I had 2 groups of frenz to entertain: JC classmates and Camp buddies. Haha, in the end Winston went off with Yim and DC while LP, JC and I went off to Bras Bersah Complex, both groups waiting for the coms to be assembled. Dragged the guys over to Xenomorph's at Bras Bersah Complex to check out the airbursh painting course. LP and me signed up (and got conned of more money coz the model kits cost more than the course fees).
Now booking back to camp, another week. Hoping to hear gd news from Yim who said he'll be trying to pull me into his department to join him. Haha, crossed fingers...
This week will be bz in camp with duties and sweeps everyday. Argh...hope it won't be as hectic as Richard's schedule last wk..hehe. Cya peeps!
